The clashes took place on Saturday at the entrance of the Qalandiya checkpoint near Rammallah, a Press TV correspondent reported.
Activists were chanting slogans calling for an end to the illegal occupation, saying that the Palestinian refugees across the world have a legal right to return to their homeland.
Israeli forces fired teargas in an attempt to disperse the demonstrators.
Moreover, the rally coincides with the seventh anniversary of a ruling by the International Court of Justice that considers the construction of Israel’s apartheid wall as illegal.
Some of the foreign activists who attended the rally were amongst those that managed to enter Israel without being noticed by the Israeli police at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport.
However, Israeli authorities arrested at least 120 pro-Palestinian activists upon their arrival at the airport.
“Over 120 passengers were denied entry and are awaiting deportation for security reasons, they will leave within the next 24-48 hours,” Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said on Saturday.
The activists were part of the pro-Palestinian “Welcome to Palestine” campaign, and organized the “flytilla” to Israel after Greece in collusion with Israel slashed their hopes of sailing to the Gaza Strip.
